Highlights!

I'm back in the states again.. I'm currently getting ready to head back to spokane, anyone need a roomate?? Here's some highlights from the month I spent in Asia...

Taiwan:
-Eating weird fucked up food (Stinky tofu, Snake soup, Blood rice cakes)
-Spending almost a whole day watching thousands of people practice for some chinese festival
-Eating way too much at matthew's dad's restaraunt while getting force-fed scotch whiskey..
-Damming up a stream with some chinese kids
-Taiwanese girls.. shit....
-Hiking up "monkey mountain"
-Monkeys...
-Aloha busses (own personal tv, video games, massaging seat, free beer and only costing about $15 for a trip all the way across taiwan)
-Matthew, Trevor, Jay, Sam, "Ling", "sylvia"
-On the same day in taipei running into two different people randomly that go to EWU
-Brown Sugar Jazz Club. (Two Words: Orange Moscat.)
-Body surfing in Kenting
-Attempting to learn some chinese (didn't work)
-Going to batting cages, a golfing range, and a bowling alley all after midnight then watching the sun come up in Danshui..
-Screwing around on top of the world's tallest building
-Our "last supper" with a bunch of crazy chinese girls.

Thailand:
-Ton and Vid
-Getting drunk on Koh Samet the third night we were in thailand and me, kenny, and vid all puking allover the beach..
-13 hour bus ride to phuket
-"Same! Same!.. but different"
-"hey my friend, where you from huh?"
-"you want massaaaaaaage?"
-Ladyboys that are prettier than the ladies. seriously.
-Cabaret show, boys on stage you can order "to go".
-Phi phi island: infested with cats, insanely beautiful, insanely cheap.
-Snorkeling
-Exploring Maya Bay (where "The Beach" was filmed)
-Drinking pretty much every night on Phi Phi..
-Fire Dancing (watching and attempting)
-Getting nut grabbed by a lady boy walking down the street on Patong Beach
-Creepy cigarette packaging
-ROTI. WE NEED THIS IN AMERICA.
-Mint and the Rio Girls
-Korn, the Thai native with the New York accent..
-kenny:"where's the bathroom?" prostitute: "here, i go to bathroom with you!"
-offering the taxi driver extra to get us to the airport on time, only to find out, 100 mph and 200 baht later, that he was "pattaya lally lacer." (pattaya rally racer)

South Korea:
-rain

USA:
-Telling my mom I "met a nice Thai girl named Mint" when the first thing she notices picking me up are the marks all over my neck..


If anyone is interested in asia at all, I'm considering going again next winter or spring (over a year from now) to check out the rest of southeast asia and possibly china and would be looking for travel buddies, let me know if you are curious at all.
